Group Process
Real time is our time to be together in the moment.
Take this opportunity:
- To risk being ourselves with our group colleagues.
- To talk about how our engagement with others impacts on us.
- To enable others in the group to be shown kindly, aspects of themselves that may be hidden from them.
- To learn to graciously confront and be confronted. When beginning process the whole group will make a contract.
The tutors will also contract their involvement. This is a vital aspect of student learning, as you cannot take a client where you would not go yourself. In order to accomplish this, students will:
- Need to learn to give feedback that is authentic and congruent in such a way that it is able to be heard.
- To receive feedback in the spirit of learning.
- To keep what adds to growth, and discard what does not.
- To recognising the other.
